In the cultural map of Maharashtra state (India), Talegaon Dabhade, a town near Pune city, has been making it's mark as an important cultural centre. The credit of preserving this heritage goes to the cultural organisation "Kalapini" which has been giving exposure to the budding stage artists from the rural area in and around Maval taluka & PCMC, since past 36 years..

This is a matter of pride for all Talegaonkars and members of Kalapini, thus celebrating the feat in a grand manner with the newly launched event of "RANGA-YADNYA" - an innovative theme conceived by Kalapini.

An actual Yadnya was performed and this program been organised to get a complete overview of important events and achievements of 36 years, as well as a cultural gettogether. Various programs were lined up in the week of 10 Dec to 16 Dec. The December 2012 NEWSLETTER has all programs and News details. The Ranga Yadnya Sangata and Kalapini's 36th Vardhapan Din Sohala was celebrated in presence of renowned director & artist - Vijaya Mehta, in the 3 days Poornotsav from 18th to 20th April. Kalapini's new Sangeet Natak production: Katha hi Bilaskhani Todi chi, has received overwhelming response during its 2 shows at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. The play depicts the struggle between father son duo, Tansen & Bilaskhan - also the differences in Classical & Folk music. This play is characterised by creative musicals and apt screenplay.
