On 31st December, every year, Kalapini does organise a Group Programme, in which 20-25 different institutions and performing groups from the town and vicinty, are given a stage to present their art like music, folk dances, karate, gym tactics, body building etc. This program holds its uniqueness on that day unlike the Dance and DJ parties which are commonly celebrated everywhere. Since last 4 years, this programme is assisted by Shree Krishnarao Bhegde Pratishthan. In this era of competition, this is a unique example of unity amongst artists & performers of different groups.

This year too, the Varshant 2008 was celebrated in a grand manner with numerous institutions & individuals participating in it.
